Our Services
Design
-
Whether you have a simple sketch or a product concept, our CAD service can help bring your design to life. With years of experience, our team offers expert guidance to help you get the most from your part or product.
-
If your existing product is obsolete or needs modification, we can reverse engineer it, returning it to the design stage for tailored improvements.
-
Based in High Wycombe, our skilled engineers use the latest CAD software to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models for a wide range of applications from simple components to complex moving assemblies, ensuring every design meets your requirements.
-
We also offer ongoing CAD outsourcing, providing clients with a reliable, single-source partnership that enhances design efficiency and manufacturing flexibility.

Prototyping
-
At PCMS, our product prototyping service plays a vital role in turning your ideas into reality. We help you test and refine your concept with a physical prototype, assessing its form, fit, and functionality before full production.
-
Combining CNC machining, turning, fabrication, and 3D printing, we create both functional and aesthetic prototypes efficiently. Our 3D printing capabilities include FDM, FFF, CFR, CFF, SLA, and LFS technologies, ensuring precision and flexibility for any design.
-
Prototypes may serve as proof of concept, one-off display pieces, or fully functional models, giving you a tangible and cost effective way to bring your vision to life.
-
Our skilled engineers work closely with companies of all sizes through an iterative development cycle, offering practical feedback on design and manufacturing to enhance every stage of the process. With a wide range of materials and advanced methods, PCMS provides a fast, simple, and effective prototyping solution tailored to your needs.
Reverse Engineering
-
PCMS provides high-quality reverse engineering services using multiple CAD systems and advanced 3D scanning technologies.
-
We capture precise measurement data from physical components and transform it into detailed 3D CAD models, ensuring accuracy and preserving your legacy parts for future production or development.
-
From raw scan data, we can generate both mesh (STL) and fully defined surface or solid CAD models, along with colour deviation maps to verify accuracy.
-
Our team can also produce 2D engineering drawings tailored to your specific requirements. Whether you need a single part captured or a complete assembly documented, our reverse engineering process delivers reliable, repeatable results that help you maintain, reproduce, or improve your existing designs.

CNC Trimming
-
At PCMS, we have over 30 years of CNC machining experience and specialise in working with a wide range of plastics, including ABS, HIPS, Polycarbonate, and Acrylic. Whether in flat sheet form or as pre-vacuum-formed parts, we use our 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines to trim and modify components accurately and efficiently.
-
We utilise similar processes to trim formed composite materials such as carbon fibre and fibreglass.
-
We design and manufacture custom jigs and fixtures to ensure consistent quality and fit.
-
Alongside our CNC capabilities, we utilise laser cutting, turning, and drilling techniques where needed to achieve the best possible results for every project.
Part Modification
-
At PCMS, we specialize in modifying a wide variety of parts and materials to meet your exact requirements.
-
From precision machining to 3D printing, we provide both subtractive and additive solutions for custom modifications.
-
Many of our clients bring us off the shelf components such as electrical housings that need adjustments to suit specific applications.
-
With advanced CNC capabilities and versatile fabrication techniques, we deliver high-quality, functional results tailored to your project’s unique needs.

Tool Making
-
We produce tooling for a wide variety of purposes, whether it be vac form tool making, machining fixtures or assembly aids.
-
At PCMS, we use our knowledge of many disciplines and our problem-solving skills to manufacture production aids for our customers, allowing them to maximise their own machine time and increase their efficiency.
-
One of our most popular services is vacuum forming tool making, where we provide tooling for an array of clients in multiple disciplines. We can help you with tool design and material selection. For example, polyurethane boards are often required for prototype tooling, whilst aluminium is more commonly used for high-volume production of thermoformed products, whilst we sometimes recommend our 3D printed tools as being the best option for certain tooling applications.
